This space will concern itself with what is happening in the environment, mainly locally here at the American School in Mexico City, but sometimes further afield. It is launched in the international spirit of the Prussian scientist/explorer Alexander von Humboldt. Hopefully, we will reflect Humboldt's interest in gathering physical data about nature and sharing that information with a wider audience.
My seventh grade science class and I will post information about our observations from a number of different locations. One will be the Humboldt Botanical Garden located here on campus (see above). Our school also sponsors environmental education trips to various locations in Mexico and Central America. Data collected on these expeditions will also be posted here. In addition postings will be made about what is happening environmentally in Mexico City and its surroundings.Your comments and contributions are most welcome.
